Julie Bilotta, the woman who gave birth on the concrete floor of her Ottawa jail cell, has been arrested again for shoplifting.
Cornwall police said Bilotta, 27, was arrested Thursday following a short foot chase.
She was arrested after a woman entered a Brookdale Avenue department store, selected merchandise and then left without making any attempt to pay for it, police said.
Cornwall police Randall Cobb Super Bowl 49 Jersey Const. Dan Cloutier said the store loss prevention officer was following the woman and called police.
Bilotta was charged with theft and a breach of probation. She was released on a promise to appear in court on July 10.
It is the second time Bilotta has been charged in the past five months. She andher spouse, Dakota Garlow, were charged in January with theft after allegedly stealingchicken wings, popcorn, jerky, Cheetos and butter Randall Cobb Super Bowl Jersey from another store.
Those charges came just months after Bilotta son, Gionni, died suddenly in October. Gionni was born in a segregation cell at the Ottawa Carleton Detention Centre in September John Kuhn Super Bowl Jersey 2012, a highly publicized birth that prompted demands for changes in how the jail treat prisoners.

Bilotta, who was in the jail facing fraud and drug charges, said she tried to convince detention centre staff that she was in labour, but was forced to give birth in her segregation cell after nurses refused to believe her.

As a result, staff at the jail were reprimanded, suspended and fired.
